how to make last project current project

this is driving me absolutely crazy -
whenever i open a Load Scene dialogue, its always on the same project from ages ago. It used to open the last one you were working on...
How can i switch it back?

Check "Data Management Preferences > Scene File Options > Load Last Sequence at Startup".

It's something like Set Active Project, in the File->Project manager

then, quit to app to make sure it saves the user pref.
if you crash, the user preference won't be saved.

sorry - got very sidetracked!
Hirazi - its not last scene i want, its last project I had open
Set active project - -getting closer but it means you manually have to set the project.
I'm sure, after 14 years of XSI, it used to just always bring me straight to the last project i was working on by default, and I never had to set anything.
probably making more of this than i should!
