Draw strand through existing point

hi,

i have a question. how can i create a strand through existing point?
please, see this image. i want to create a strand like a red line i draw on this image. and these points in purple color.

ICE strand is array per point, point is 'context parent' of sub - array of strand positions. While strand positions are not affected by transforms of point, point still represent the first position, before strand array starts. If you already have your set of points, generated by ICE or something else, perhaps the most elegant way is to create another point cloud, containing only one point, and array of strand positions, like in picture.
Each point is carrying the strand array - so if you really want just one point cloud for everything, probably you'll need to delete the all but one point at the end of ICE tree, for something like in picture.

another question, i want to make something similar like this (https://vimeo.com/47722508) but i have a problem when i try to envelope it by ice, i guess he did it by use strand, i did it by use mt_strand fitting an create a array of matrix. i can envelope it by create a bunch of null base on these arrays, but this way quite tedious with more muscle. Is there another way to do it?
