Why you say it is a game changer?Some specific stuff it is much better than the others?

i assume because of the speed? :) you sure dont wanna compare Mantra speed or even Arnold speed vs Octane.

GeForce are so expensive that I'm waiting for Redshift and Octane AMD support.

Octane is definitely progressing their opencl version, but you may be waiting a while for the redshift version.

You can pick up 7 series of the gforce cards at pretty decent value now, the older titans as well are on ebay for £300 to £350, which is where I'm picking up my cards now.

It's a game changer if your a Houdini user. Render speed is a such a crucial thing for individuals and small studios. If only it could be used with Houdini Indie.

You can use Houdini Indie with Octane standalone. Just export to Alembic and it works nicely!
