In a good or in a bad way?

He could be more organized in the flow. :)

thats just a video made by a troll in a known piracy forum. Thats the perfect example why NDA are in place.

What if is is as good as ICE was in the beginning? (Wich i doubt at the moment yet.)

Will MAX get more Softimage users then maya then?

Well, max is just the same old bitch from who you get away to go Softimage. At the time in my case i choosed softimage for his workflow and passes system, yes ICE is a plus but what we need is a software who match the artist spirit of it, not a software with an ice plugin

Well what is just annoying is the fact that they killed an already advanced system like ICE in Softimage, to just spend effort, time, and customer money to implement the same exact thing elsewhere.. Personally is very stupid but its just me..

Being a softimage user after what happened i take this as another slap in the face.

Does the one who made a video makes any difference about the content of the video? No. I dont care who made the video, i care about the content which shows a nodal ICE-Like system in 3ds max 2016, not sure your comment is even relevant to the topic but thanks.

Let me clarify: nodal system isnt equal to ICE. We all know ICE is integranted into the core. The guy in the vídeo claims he has done a softbody solver but doesnt have any proof besides showing a bunch of nodes. We may as well call anything nodal ICE : xpresso, digital fusion, etc, even if the creators of that plugin havent made such bold claim.

Just to put things right in place an be realistic.
Do Autodesk slap in the face of softimage than his major flaw is ICE bounded to the core and un-transposable to other software ?
What did they do here ? a nodal wrapper for maxscript which is obviously un-transposable to other softwares...

A nodal wrapper for Maxscript is probably as powerful as ICE if what is said about Maxscript openess is true and it is complete.

But like i said elsewhere, 3dsMax people always manage to make something graphically horrible.

When i look at that thing , i want to run away from it.

It should be noted that one of most requested features by 3dsMax users has been an ICE like.

I really dont want to keep giving feedback to that video, but, as far as I know, and to clarify (If such thing can be said because only those behind NDA know for sure) the ICE like 3dsmax visual interface appears to be this:

https://ephere.com/plugins/autodesk/max/lab/

and, as you will realize, 1) this wasnt developed by Autodesk, so is not a slap in the face for us XSI users and 2) Doesnt look to be that powerful as the guy in the video claims to be. Its more Xpresso than ICE.

edit.. its powerful, I meant no disrespect to the creators, but as is obviously a plugin, I really doubt is rooted to the core as XSI, so I dont think it would have the speed ICE has. But, again, Im just speculating, and I dont like to do that.

Only xpresso is not multi threaded, this thing inside Max will be is my understanding.

No, it's not ephere and yes, it was fully developed internally.

It has nothing to do with Ephere lab, it is i think wrapper for Maxscript, and the power of something like that if it is complete and well done is the power of Maxscript. Which is very powerful.

Here it is the 3ds Max Entertainment Creation Suite 2016 links from Autodesk I might just install Max demo to try it.

My mistake, thanks for clear things up. May I ask a question luceric? whats up with Autodesk? I've seen leaked videos, also the official link for the 2016 trial download has been leaked... but I have yet seen Autodesk officialy announcing the 2016 suite.. am I missing something? Is the NDA over?

those links are not suposed to work, but someone in the web team appears to be asleep at the switch.
the NDA holds until some date in the future.
