hi,
So, here we are small team working mostly on NAS with network cards teamed (2GB throughtput).
I do my renders on a small farm, mostly artist machines connecteds to this network and sharing data on the NAS.
I'm looking now there is SSDs etc, a new home for my projects and i have a bunch of questions...

1. Generally where do you guys are working, directly on the server or do you move temporary the files to a local disks to benefit extra speed when compositing, or working with caches (very painfull to do withoput scripts etc) ??

2. Do you know ways to use and store files with a better speed than on a network

3. In general how it is working on bigger facilities ???

The place i work with sometimes bought recently a 1TB SSD placed in central server - just a less new PC- and they say it improves a lot After Effects files reading.
