"Evenly Spaced Curve Positions" Compound creates 4 extra unnecessary points. I've tried with zero segments but i get 4 vertexes.

Do you mean Julian Johnson's compound available at rray.de? I'm not getting that result. Maybe post a picture of your tree?

Sorry, I can't seem to reproduce, or I do not understand the question correctly.
To space evenly at both ends of a curve you'd probably have to use a value of 1 for the "Segments" parameter in this compound...

ok. just select first or last point with "T" and you will notice that there is actually 2 points. I have added array nodes and i think that's it.

You might want to post a comment at the download page of this compound @ the Area. Chances are the author didn't notice it either... ;)
