I'm just considering to buy a Nuke license and wonder whether there are any disadvantages with choosing a floating license over the node-locked one?
Usually I prefer the floating licenses, but who knows. Does it interfer with other RLM servers for instance?
Anybody any experience with that subject?
Cheers

Not if you know what you're doing ;)Pancho wrote:Does it interfer with other RLM servers for instance?
Just set up one RLM server to handle all the ISV servers (foundry, solidangle, whatever else you got ...)

Re: Nuke license
Hey Pancho! Why not go with a Fusion license? Now that BlackMagic bought eyeon, I see a great future for Fusion. But even with eyeon, the software looks great.
I think there's a user here, who was between Nuke and Fusion and ended up buying Fusion and he said he loved it. If my mind don't fail me, it was Mixepix.

Re: Nuke license
Thanks for the proposal. But I guess it's the same like with Maya/SI/Max currently. Getting a Nuke artist is easier than getting a Fusion one. Otherwise I would have stayed with the AD Toxic software or given Fusion a go.
