ICE (Pooby) Fur issues, popping hairs here and there....

Post by Rork » 20 Aug 2014, 18:21

Hi,

We're using Pooby's Fur tool on a cow test , but have the issue on the occasional hair flipping the wrong way when animating the geometry.
It would be great when somebody can give some pointers to what this could be.

There a small demo scene here: SI 2014SP2 scene that will show the issue of the flipping fur strands. It doesn't make mush sense as the surrounding hairs point to the proper direction.
So if anyone has the time to take a look...

Thanks for any thoughts!!

There were quite recently 2 different threads about something very similar on the list, and shoould pop up on top if you search hair or fur.

The solution had to do with caching out .

Let us know how it goes,

sorry, missed those...

But there's the same issue on cached geo, if that's what you mean...
Buty I'll have a look around the forum.

cheers!

I meant on the mailing list, but there is probably something about that around here too :)
