Plot slice animation?

Is it possible to bake or plot an animated slice.

I have an object with a slice that is connected to an animated grid, I would like to make duplicates of the object and offset on the timeline.
As is when I duplicate the object and the slices (grids) ..it gets all messed up somehow.

It seems like both copies of the grids are connected to the newly duplicated objects.
