Monitor setup preferences?

Something that bothered me ever since opening M*** for the first time, as I had imagined it to be way more "ubiquitous" was the lack of a proper dual monitor support, like Softimage has built in. Dragging windows to one monitor yourself doesn't seem like a very elegant solution to me. It has since been pointed out to me, that even the Softimage support is apparently less than stellar, if you happen to own two monitors of different sizes, but as I have so far always bought my monitors in twos, I haven't had any problem with that. I have been using two monitors since XSI 6 and have grown so accustomed to the extra screen space that I nearly get an anxiety attack every time I do have to work with Softimage on a single monitor setup.
So in light of the less than satisfying solution some other software seems to have on offer, I was wondering what your own monitor setup preferences were. Hence this silly poll..

Well two monitors of different sizes with softimage isn't difficult too, you just have to make a blank space on the layout...

The thing that bothers me the most is floating windows which falls hidden by a bigger ones when they loose focus.
I've experienced this with houdini, if you use the standard way to make a second screen, you can build a second beautifull layout for a second (or third screen) but every floating windows goes under when they loose the focus...
But you can just maximise the master windows to fill all screens a the problem is solved, just like softimage and this is great !

I don't have the luxury to invest in identical monitors, my studio is more like a graveyard with cannibalized Frankenstein machines; but yes, since going dual, any singular monitor, no matter the size of the screen, is almost claustrophobic to me! But my preference would be to have identical monitors, that would be swell.

I'm under the impression that the vast majority of Maya users do use Multiple Monitors, and they seem fine with the current support.

If you don't know any better, you hardly have anything to complain about, obviously... ;)
And of course the Maya approach "works", but that doesn't make it a good (or even "elegant") solution, per se...
