Multiple Fcurve Nodes - One Input?

Post by probiner » 01 Jun 2014, 17:09

Image

I face this problem regularly as I want one curve profile input to control several scalar inputs, but alike Reference Inputs it's always one per node :(

I was thinking about this problem and remembered a LightWave node "Wrap" like here:

Basically it remaps a scalar according to a function. and several scalars can be remapped with a single function through a Wrap node per scalar.

So my question is: Is there maybe another Node or a workaround to have one curve remapping several scalar values?

Cheers

Had a similar problem a few feeks ago. Not sure whether it works in your case, but ended up with building an array of the values and feeding that into the fcurve, then extracted the results from the output array.

yes, building an array is the way to go, plus you can then share the result between ice trees

Many thanks guys. This was also the solution I've found in the Mailing List (Paul Smith, Ed Manning and Mathias N) and here's a wrap of it:

Very nice. This f-curve node should have been improved.
