Hi All,
Sharing reference models with others.
Other than going into external files in the scene, when creating reference models is there a way of setting the browser path to look at the models folder without being specific to the project.
Thanks,
Jon

I don't think so. By default when you go to the File > Import > Ref Model it goes to the current project's models folder by default. What you could do is create a script and call it using a menu item or button to open a specific folder with models in it and have the user pick which model they want to import as a reference.

I also find the .scenetoc can be useful here, easy to use to change ref model paths with a search/replace for multiples at a time.

Hi thanks for the replies.
I was hoping there was a line of code that would allow the reference to look at the models folder of the current project.
Kind of like the concept in ICE where you can set a node to Get Self
Going to the external files isn't much of a big deal.
Hi Matt,
may be a silly question, I had a quick look and a little confused as to what format to save the scntoc file out as?
Thanks,
Jon

Hi Jon,
Its just a text file, if you open the .scntoc file in something like notepad++ you can amend and save it without worrying about what type of file extension.
Cheers,
Matt
