When I composite 2 streams in FX Tree, the result isn't showing anything and when i hit render, no files are being rendered and saved.
Any tip appreciated.

ok gotit, needed to use "over" composite instead.

it wasn't rendering because the third input was not connected

Yeah, one has to make sure your images are at similar dimensions, also use the math composite node, you need to keep an eye on what you're using to composite the two images - "screen" from a "Math Composite" node is probably what you were looking for. Also gotta make sure they have an alpha channel in your images, but by the looks of it is was fine with "Over".
