Is there ways to build this effect?

I remember there is a compound to cut polygons based on image(s), and think if those hole boundaries could be transferred to curve, that will be cool. But I can't figure out how to do it. Any ICE masters could share some ideas on this? Thanks. :D

You can extract curves from edges but i don't know how to do it with ICE.

Hi!

Why not simply emit particles via texture map and mesh them with polygonizer?

humm... i think you have better chances in flash or illustrator for creating curves from rasters ;-)
