Hi guys,
I am working with object of ~13k triangles. I have applied unfold property and, after setting up all the cut edges and hitting Unfold and Pack, I get an error message:
Memory Allocation Warning.
Cannot allocate 173205040 bytes of contiguous memory.
XSI may become unstable from now on.
After pressing ok I get another message:
Unfold3D C++ Standard Error.
bad allocation.
Could anyone advice what should I do to avoid this message and unfold my mesh, please.
Maybe I should split the mesh into smaller meshes, but I do not want to reassign all the cut edges again. Maybe there is a way to transfer cluster from one object to another object?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Unfold crashing
The easiest way would be duplicating mesh.Grubber wrote:Maybe I should split the mesh into smaller meshes, but I do not want to reassign all the cut edges again. Maybe there is a way to transfer cluster from one object to another object?
If you haven't changed the default preferences, duplicate should duplicate also clusters and other properties and operators. Duplicate your object, and delete the parts you don't need. And be sure your mesh is clean. Unfold doesn't like ngons, vertex valence 2, manifolds, double edges(not sure with this one), etc.
