Texture Painting?

Post by flyby » 11 Oct 2013, 13:47

Is there any way to paint textures on meshes directly in the 3D viewport in Softimage?

all i found in google on the subject was tutorials for weightmap painting...

if you don't want to use mudbox or such, it's not possible directly.
the only way i know is using weightmaps as masks. Clement Mallard made the "OpenGL Mix8colors" shader compound which comes in really handy with previewing what you paint...

The FxTree offers some painting features inside Softimage.
