Good by Autodesk to keep pushing it.

Aside from getting nearly 5-8 fps from 123d apps, nothing fancy here, you could do this in zbrush. Of course keeping it as a separate app is cool but they should have added this feature in Mudbox which I assume is falling behind the competition day by day.

Mudbox is actually used very extensively, in more places then people realise, but many seem to assume it falls behind. Personally I don't agree. Zbrush is a fine package, but it's by no means perfect and in some areas (imo) Mudbox beats it hands down.

It is irrelevant how popular it is because studios use entertainment creation suits which includes Mudbox. I think Mudbox's popularity comes directly from the Autodesk's title and an app which has no Uv tools, no option similar to decimation master, no mesh editing tools and no proper hard surface tools couldn't be in a competition with Zbrush. I mean yes it is a good sculpting app but feature wise it already has fallen behind the competition

Yeah, if you want to compare like for like features, then on paper Mudbox does show to be lacking. But that doesn't mean it's any less capable, it's just used differently. There isn't really much point in adding some features in Mudbox when they already reside in something like Maya. And right from day one, Mudbox was always designed to be used along side a core 3D package.

Probably true enough, but all I am doing is pointing out (and maybe correcting) some facts to people.
