There was a meeting in London with Softimage customers, back in June. It was somewhat hastily arranged (but don’t read anything into that). The meeting was not to go into details about roadmaps and future development, but more to get some direct feedback from customers. Chris Bradshaw (head of M&E) and Stig Grueman (head of M&E WWsales) were present at that meeting.

ok, so has I said, don't read too much into it. But to put it into some context, the meeting was actually unscheduled, because guys like Chris and Stig were actually in Europe on other business and their time was fully booked out. At the last minute, some time became available and so myself and a colleague hastily contacted some people to see if they could make time to meet.

There is no rental price for Softimage Standalone.

It's true. And the curios thing is that NONE had really answered nor tried to.

Not even Luceric, despite he's been a Softimage developer and now he's more a troll here pumping Maya in every aspect and ready to put down Soft when the occasion presents up, said nothing about.

Even if actually the evidence and reason of this doubt is there!.. Just there! In the chart, in the advertising, in everywhere, and nobody says nothing, even if only to answer like to a normal question.

Nothing!...They want to talk, but saying something cryptic the put more doubts.

If you ask "what colour is your t-shirt?" there is no "white" or "red" or other simple answers, there's : "well, colours are many, and actually everybody can chose the color they want. Now, this colour it's not really the colour you think it is. It depends if it's daylight or night, or if the washing machine preserved the colour, so, at this stage, I cannot say what colour is my t-shirt."...

It's not about cancelling your subscriptions if you got them. It's about having a "cheap" way to scale up your team if needed and scale it down again after the job is done without sitting on several unused licenses after that project.
