What would be the best way to reverse the flow along curve to the initial position objects departed flow? instead they continue and don't reverse to the same position.
Just for completeness:
This is a a case where i already have the final positions of objects and would like that they start where the curve starts, i thought just send them along the curve from where they are and just return them.

Re: Flow along curve to initial position
is it possible to cache the simulation, send it in animation mixer and reverse the animation ?

Re: Flow along curve to initial position
Probably yes that's a practical idea, but i wanted to find this in ICE way.
Added further: the idea was also to have a start position and an end position. For example pieces of car go to another car. In essence a bit of morphing but going trough curves.

Re: Flow along curve to initial position
On solution i think is simply using states no ?
In this case 3states Start/Flow/FlyToGoal(Start)
Using a test in U value on the curve to switch state between flow along curve and your end goal.

Re: Flow along curve to initial position
Yes put the positions are determined before. While the flight can be random the start position and end position should not be, each particle should go to the respective position. So
the goal has multiple positions, each for each particle.
For example i have a group of end position let's call it the group goal but when i want to feed their positions to the move towards goal it doesn't let me feed an array of 3d vectors it only lets me one vector for input.
Edit:
Okay i got it. It was done with help from this https://www.si-community.com/forum/v ... =15&t=2320 then with states.
But i have to change the particle goal to accept also orientation and not only position but for now it is time to eat

Re: Flow along curve to initial position
you have to use "select in array" by the ID of the particle before going to the input of move towards goal. For example i have a group of end position let's call it the group goal but when i want to feed their positions to the move towards goal it doesn't let me feed an array of 3d vectors it only lets me one vector for input.
Evenually, you will need to use a "modulo" node for the ID of the particles BY the size of the array, to loop trought the position array.

Re: Flow along curve to initial position
That is what i did, see my last post the edited part and the link i posted. Build array from set, select in array.
I have same number of particles to the number of goals so no issues.
