i can't understand what is constants object in softimage, what is it , and why to use it? thanks

Even after years of using it myself I'm not 100% sure but my understanding is that there are registered types of objects that Softimage has defined and you need to access via Python / win32com. Basically telling what type of object to create or object to find. Brief google search on "win32com constants" can reveal more accurate info.
