Add smooth edge loop tool equivalent?

I tried to use this command for no smooth proposes and it seems even in non curved polygon meshes- like a cube- it curves them.
Anyone knows an alternative with such good interactivity? I know knife and add edge tool but i am not a aware of an one click way to add loops.

Try the Split Edge Tool using the middle mouse button.

Thanks. I figured it too. i think it would be nice if both tools could be integrated into just one.

if you right click while with add smooth edge loop tool on you have the option to turn smoothing on or off
