Any of the Softimage polygonizers will work for retopology proposes?
I guess i am searching for a polygonizer(=makes a mesh from points) that has an adaptative mesher.

Re: Polygonizer for retopoly?
Hello,
In 2011, we have used Softimage build-in Polygonizer to optimize automatically scanned statues (120 different statues of Versailles Park).
This is our Batch script process :
- emit particles from the HD mesh,
- polygonize (so that it fills holes)
- delete inside mesh of the fluid
- calculate ambiant occlusion
- apply bronze material
- export Collada (to import in Google Earth).
Here is an example :

The key benefits are : it fills small holes, it is automatically, works not so bad for organic models. I think that Polygonizer could be very usefull and can be enhanced for this purpose.
Kind Regards,

Re: Polygonizer for retopoly?
Thanks for the feedback benoit81, yes a polygonizer can heave much more uses than just for fluids.
Btw, interesting your Louvre project.
