I want to multiply a color on top of another color using a matte but it's not turning out the way I expect it to based on doing something similar in Photoshop.
Attached is a picture that illustrates what I'm looking for and what my problem is.
Any suggestions? I've actually never used anything other than "Mix" in Mix 2 Colors so this is the first time I'm running into this.
Thanks,
Marc

hi chepmedia, there are different mix nodes in the rendertree arsenal (dont ask me why, historical reasons probably). I find that the one that mimics photoshops behaviour the best is called "toon mix" (strange name, again, dont ask why)...

Hi,
you can try also the mixer node included in the BA_Essential shader pack

Ah ha! Toon Mix. Perfect. Did exactly what I was looking for.
As for the BA collection - I haven't downloaded those but quickly looked at the site .. there's some great stuff there to dig into once I'm done with this deadline.
Thank you both,
Marc
