Post by Caveman » 08 May 2013, 15:19

Hi everyone is it not possible to render 32 bit Radiance HDR. The dropdown list contains only 8 bit, not even 16 bit :-o

Probably I should have asked if 32 bits per channel rendering is possible with Radiance HDR.

Thanks.

.hdr files have no alpha channel. it's three 8 bit channels and a fourth 8 bit exponent channel. there is no point in a floating point .hdr file, use OpenExr instead. .hdr was created to avoid having floating point channels

Thanks Luceric. I always render in open exr but recently I found that After Effects can output Radiance Sequence in Floating Point that's why I was asking.
