How can i hide multiple objects at once in xsi?

Sorry, I think this is a very simple question, but i just cannot find out how?

I wanna hide multiple object at once and set key on that, does any one know how to do that?

I don't know how to set keys via group or layers...

like in maya, it inherits its parents' visibility property, but in xsi it doesn't.

For hiding/unhiding you select them and press H. If you want to set keyframes, you have a few options, such as:

1) Select all your objects, then click on "Selection" in the right-hand tab (above where it says "Transform"), and under "Multiple Selection" click on "Visibility". From there you can set keyframes on View Visibility and Render Visibility for your selection.

2) If you prefer to use a group, you'll have to add an override to the group. Select the group, use "Get->Property->Override". Then in the override property page click "Add Parameters", expand one of the objects and find its View Visibility and/or Render Visibility (multiple selections via Ctrl). Click outside the window to add the parameters. You can now key the parameters from your override. The override takes effect on everything that's in the group. If you remove something from the group, its parameters won't be overridden any longer.

You can perform almost any action on multiple objects, even when your selection is of different types. In some cases it may be necessary for you to open the property page for one of the objects, then select a bunch of other objects, and the property page will automatically update to reflect all the objects (it will also say [multi] in the title bar).
