AutoPack for Softimage alpha available

Thought this might be of interest to any Softimage users out there that do scientific/medical animations.

Along with many other things, this nifty bit of software allows you to import Protein Database Files (.pdb) straight into Softimage in a number of ways (Ball & Stick, Ribbons, Molecular Surface etc.)

Yes, it's very nice. The pdb functions are part of the ePMV package. Unfortunately the Softimage version is still a little limited, e.g. no selecting individual chains, but hopefully they will keep working on it.

That was my plan by posting about it on here! If enough people show it some love and give the developers feedback, they'll feel it's worth advancing to beta and then final release.

I've been watching this product for a while and feared that the Softimage development had stopped at one point
