Particle collision with cloth/softbodies

Post by spurv » 12 Apr 2013, 09:49

Hi, I was wondering, is there any way to collide particles with a syflex or verlet geometry? I know that with Lagoa you can achieve this and with momentum too, but would be nice to have a simple and fast solution to this, imagine a simple effect like some water drops falling on a leaf and the leaf reacting to them for example.

What have you tried that isn't currently working? If you create a simulation and have the syflex objects in the simulation as collision objects it should work. You'll also probably need to turn up the subframe samples to ensure they don't go through.

that way the particles are affected by the cloth but the cloth is not affected by the particles.
