Found this link on Blender artists, exactly, here - so I 'd believe everything is allowed and official.
Looks like very high-end stuff. That is, wouldn't hurt to have shader writer on board.

Yes, for the regular Arnold users, this have been up for a while.
It's also that students/schools that use Arnold for rendering have easier access to the docs this way.

Lots of Maya tutorials... no wonder.

That's because most of the people that work on the docs, are Maya trained.
But Stephen Blair is evening out the ranks... ;-)

Hopefully, I don't believe the pure CPU path-tracer will be able to survive on the street. Also don't believe that much in words of always dedicated Softimage users. Like believing in words of lion trainer, when he talking how his pet is harmless. Remember the Mental Ray story...luis7654 wrote:This has been available for quite some time.

Mainly I've been interested, is there some small trick, applicable somewhere else. Not that much from out-of-the-box stuff, anyway. Hair shader which blends to Kajiya-Kay model - Kajiya-Kay is from 1986 isn't it. Standard one seems to be built around some optimization. Supplying the velocity attribute in order to get reasonable render time, somehow bellow criteria. Please not again with velocity thing, there is at last two renderers who don't need that...
Anyway, all the best to users and owners, what else to say.
