Is it just me or the forum is more lively?

It definitely does seem more lively as of lately. It could be because of the anticipation of an announcement to a new release, the closing of xsibase, or just good-ol' community participation with more users of Softimage is on the up-swing. Whatever it is, it is always good to see more people around.

Possibly the death of XSI base had something to do with it.
Or that it's a great forum
Or that a new generation of Softimage users are emerging.

Define "lively"...
Ever since the login woes over at the XSIBase in December 2011, which IMHO marked the beginning of its end, we have had way more traffic, users and posts, BUT we've always been a lively bunch.

Funnily enough, I get the impression that there are more posts in the Softimage forums on the area and CGTalk too. Not a lot more, but those forums used to be even more quiet.

Personally I think that's a good thing.
As in most cases a strict mono-culture doesn't really help matters much here either...

Definately. It might help with the image that Softimage is a super specialised 3D application.

XSI base closing for sure, users need an unofficial softimage Community. and with 2014 coming,.. people are looking for info.
