SPH Fluid Particles escaping ...

Post by Frank1000 » 23 Feb 2013, 11:40

Hi,
I was wondering which parameter or parameter mix prevents particles from escaping when filling an object with fluid.

also I was wondering how to keep the particles within the boundaries of the object. For now they still push through the obstacle walls.

ok, I see that increasing the Sumilate SPH / substeps do hinder the escape of particles better. Just posting it here in case someone else is checking into the same.

The particles penetrating the surface is really just their radius when you display them as spheres.
The actual centers of the particles seem to be inside the borders.
Is there something like a collision offset maybe?

Hi Ace,
ya the center stays within the boundaries. I checked all available parameters, but other than decreasing the size didn't prevent from stitching out yet. Probably that parameter has to be added to the particles in ICE additionally.
