My question is if could be practical to achive same 2D 3D effects.

getting the same data out of softimage using ice (silhouette and motion vectors etc. ), how ever from what i understand from the break down. the data is used with in a 2D drawing/painting software. so i am guess if you could get a hold of that 2d software and are able to get the data out of soft you need. you could create it. IMHO
