Hi,
I,m using Fusion for compositing. i have 2 render channels and a Zdepth sequance.
with channel boolen I added Z-depth to the final composition but when i change the viewport look to z-depth it's complately white. Couse that Dept Blur doesn't work. There is a normalize button in the viewport and if I press it, it's look good. I searched for it in some forums and I see its a common problem. Fusion somehow reads that zdepth value in short range like 0,001 - 0,002. Not like 0-1. So is there any way to render zdepth in that short scale or maybe there is a way for zdepth normalizing for fusion.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Re: Rendering Zdepth for Fusion
i use SI and fusion too, and Z depth workflow are a pain to understand, but it work.
I rememeber the problem is that comp depth, if you have an exr beauty with float point, and a Zdepth in 8 bit it can make problem because Zdepth have to adapt in float, something like that
What you can do, is color corrector Zd and down the white point in levels / master / RGB until you can see it (0.02)
hope this help, i dunno if it is the proper way but it work to me

Re: Rendering Zdepth for Fusion
Thank you fabilabo !
It really works
edit : I was too exited so i couldn't see the which node fusion display in viewport. Unfortunatelly doesn't work for me.
But I made a progress inspired from your advice. I changed Zd pass to float32 and in "Common Controls" Tab at ColorCorrector I increse the Blend vaule to 1500(!). Now I can see the Z depth without "normalize button".
But, "Depth Blur" ignores the Zd I guess.
