Transfer Network License to new workstation

Finally moving to a new workstation running Window 7 64bits system. My old WS could not cope with what I was throwing at it lately.

I'll be installing Softimage 2013 sp1 64bits and transfering my license from the old machine to the new one.

Any advice or thing to watch out to make sure the transfer goes smoothly?

Is it not the same process for Network Licenses?

Basically, I want to make the new WS the network License holder as I will be stripping parts and disposing of the old one.

No, the License Transfer Utility works for standalone licenses only.
For a network license, you need a new license file (remember the license is tied to the Ethernet address of your computer).

Here's what I would do:
- Try to activate your license again at https://registeronce.autodesk.com, using the Ethernet address of your computer
- If that fails, then contact Autodesk at http://www.autodesk.com/licensesupport to request a new license for your new computer

What if I move the ethernet card to the new computer?

Scratch that, the LAN controller is built in. Will try as suggested tomorrow so that, if things go haywire, I can reach AD Support.

Didn't work.

Worked! AD Support replied quickly and I solved the issue in 5 minutes.

P.S. The new workstation is freakish fast. HQV and all. I was never able to activate HQV on the old machine.
