Move Point - Moves One Point Not Two
When I am in the right or front view-port of an object, I must always tag the points I want to move, because the move point tool will only select one point instead of both points. Is there an option to move both points simultaneously with the move point tool ?

Nope, you have to select multiple components first. The Tweak tool is meant for free-flowing, organic adjustments not precise modeling.
I'm not sure if this will be helpful, but one thing you can do is set Click Outside Manipulator to Select Tool in your Transform preferences. This lets you use the Transform tools instead of Tweak -- you still need to select first, but you don't need to use the keyboard shortcuts to switch tools.
