Hi;
I have actors in my scene that need to go up and down on escalators. I've tried many things but just can't get them to stand idly while going down the escalators. How would you go about achieving this?
Thanx in advance for all the help;
AJ

Re: CROWDFX: Escalator problem...
first thought, create a cubeshaped null area where the idle state is running.
so they 'walk' ino the elevator null area, do their idle state,after that they 'walk' out and pick up the walking state?
haven't used CrowdFX much, so this might be totally off ;-)

Yup, did exactly that, yet to no avail. They walk into a null volume where they enter their idle state yet the particles also need to be moving along, and once the particles start moving a relevant motion clip is in effect immediately after so as to have them catch up with the particles' relative velocity. I'm so baffled by this, can't seem to find a way out...

In the Skeleton_Simulation ICE tree on the point cloud, there's a compound called Set Pose State ID from Speed. You can modify that so that particles inside the null volume get assigned to the idle state even if they are moving.jacobo wrote:Yup, did exactly that, yet to no avail.
