Extrude / Convert to Poly Hierarchy Behavior Difference

Post by Frank1000 » 06 Nov 2012, 22:52

Hi,
I've recognized that if I extrude a curve and move it within a hierarchy the curve and extruded polymesh keep their related position ... while when I "curve to polymesh" a curve and move it within the same hierarchy, the relation between curve and model shifts.

Is there a way to keep the relation between curve and a "curve to polymesh" polymesh and still keep the position relation when I move the hierarchy ?

There are two possible ways that I can think of offhand. The first way is to turn off "Update with input transforms" on the General tab of the Curve to Mesh Converter. The other way is to turn off Enable on the Options tab of the polymesh's Local Transform.

Great, first method worked right away and 2nd method I turned off the yellow selected Position xyz

and although they jumped back on when I moved the hierarchy model, the relation between curve and mesh stayed even when moving.

Thx !
