Ripple broken in Animation Editor? SI_2013SP1

Post by geoath » 06 Oct 2012, 05:28

Can someone please confirm this?
Ripple works fine in Dopesheet, but doesn't work in Animation Editor! It's funny though that it works with the retime tool in AE.
I tried the renaming of preferences and the runonce bat, with no luck. Softimage 2013 SP1

Not something I use often in the AE but it seems to work.
Copy a section of keys
Place timeline between 2 keys
Turn on ripple and paste
Section will be pasted at timeline and existing keys are tossed to the right instead of merging.
It also works well in 'Character key set' mode.
Tested in 2013SP1 and SP1-QFE1

hi Manny thanks for the reply, but this isn't exactly the problem i have..
try the following:
make an animated object (null /whatever) with e.g 4 keyframes (frames 1-5-10-15).
in the AE select the keys on frame 5 and move them 1 frame after (frame 6) with ripple on.
in my case the keys on frames 10 and 15 stay where they are, and not pushed forward in the timeline.
it works fine in the Dopesheet and the Timeline though!!!
Luckily, ripple works fine with the retime tool, so i use this :)
i was just wondering if it can considered as a bug or not!

that's the way it is, the ripple in the curve editor is only for Paste, not for moving keys.
