need advise for night rendering

hi need some advise for the purpose of night time or midnight
in Lens i saw night nod but i donno how to u se plz help me how to create realstic night render

sounds like a question ala, pls, make me a night light setup. ;)

i would start to lit the scene normally, normal (realistic) light intensitys, normal mats. you can use the lens exposure shader to mimic real world cam settings for your rendering. this would give you realistic light behavior. you can also find color temperatur of the moonlight in the net, play a bit with its intensity. its always a good way to go out with your cam and shoot some references of lights at midnight. perhaps same light but with different iso or fstop.

I will offer an alternative solution that may work for you (or not) use at your own discretion. If you find hard to create a night scene that is naturalistic, try creating a day light scene with soft or very little shadows and then start toning it towards a blue hue, or better yet just do it in post! Better t have all the information of the colors and then tint them than the other way around..right? ;) ... check Terminator 2 the movie to see what I mean. Checkthis at 4 min 50 sec:
