particle volume rendering question, thanks

Post by ikfk » 06 Aug 2012, 06:21

since im rendering some particles with sphere shape, i scale them in Y to 0.1, so its nearly to a plan. but when I'm trying to render it using Particle Renderer in RenderTree, the particle volume shape still a sphere

how to let the volume fit the particle shape scale? thank you :)

Ive noticed this too in 2012 + 2013. I have it from good authority it *used* to work in the past. One option now is to set the 'elliptical' value to 1 and to use scale which I think will give you flatter spheres.
