Cut Geometry Tool - What am I doing wrong?

After messing around for hours I have to give up.
Followed the Instructions but no luck with this one.
Please help

Haven't used this myself, but judging from the Vimeo video accompanying this tool and your screenshot:
Could it be, you have "simply" forgotten to apply a UV Property to your Texture Map?
