Secondary Dynamics for strands in ICE?

Post by claudevervoort » 21 May 2012, 22:24

Hi,

I'm looking at having some kind of tail behavior for a strand, so that when the root particle moves, the strand slowly gets back to its shape. Before I start trying to create a compound like that (which can be quite a learning experience), I wonder if there is not one already somewhere for that.

I did stumble upon a video that describes a compound that does just that, it just happens there was no link to it :(

Thanks!

Claude

NM :) A little bit of digging and it appears the Strands Dynamic Framework can be set up to do just that :)

Very cool.

yes it would be cool to see how you go about using this to drive a mesh a build a rig from it.

good work!
