Hello All,
Can anyone offer some quick tips on getting a point cloud to do something like Vladimir Jankijevic has achieved here: http://vimeo.com/1911225
From the way he describes it, seems like there shouldn't be much too it. I have been trying different combinations of 3D point cloud grids, geometry emitters, and point emitters, with neighboring particle forces, coagulate forces, and point forces.... but haven't really achieved anything close to the desired spiraling effect.
Thanks for any advice you can give,
Ian

In the image attached you'll find a real basic implementation of Newton's universal law of gravitation.
Fun fact, if you run this on a uniformly dense particle system you'll get patterns that look like the distribution of matter and dark matter in the universe.

Thanks for that screenshot! That is very helpful. I had seen the emnewton demo, but I didn't realize he had a free version available as well. I only need the basic functionality, so that should work out.
