Now that the offer has almost (but not quite!) expired, I must say, I find it strange naturalmotion wasn't able to generate more buzz about it. I saw this in my mailbox and naturally "rushed" to the si-community to spread the word. But, for instance, in the news section of CGTalk nobody could be bothered to mention it... And if no one else mentions it, naturalmotion could have at least posted it themselves.


So now that I seem to be one of the very few who has actually tried to promote this offer,

You're right. I had no idea about this offer until I saw it posted by you. I got to meet the guys who make it from Natural Motion a couple of Siggraphs back, when they were in Boston. They seem to be low key and brillant - nice guys too. Eventhough it was just posted by you, you did help spread the word, which helped.

It's true, it seems version 2.7 has been released quite a while back. I'm not sure if this should bother you with this offer, though. If you think you can use it, at a mere $999 it still seems incredible value for money. And often in the case of these kinds of offers, but this is just me speculating a bit, there is a new version just around the corner (that would be offered at full-price again, I guess).
But then again, pure speculation/wishful thinking on my part: maybe they release it as "open source"/freeware after the offer has expired...

Maybe you're right. I think I'll play a round with the LE version and see if it works as good as they claim.
