Dynamic Strand Size - Taper

Hi Guys,

I don't use ICE too much, so I was wondering if someone could help me, or if I am missing something. I have two questions about dynamic strands.

1.) Is there a way to have the dynamic strands grow over time? I try to animate the length of the dynamic strand, but that doesn't work.

2.) Is there a way to taper the size of the dynamic strand, as in, larger at the base and taper to almost nothing at the tip? All I can figure out is how to change the overall size...am I missing a node?
