The little capital "B" Returns the branch flag using one of the siBranchFlag enum values. The branch flag indicates whether theICETree was added to a Group or to the Selection in branch mode.

Four different hierarchical levels are actually recognized: NODE, BRANCH, TREE, and MODEL (see Dealing with Hierarchy). However, this property always returns the siBranch value when tested on items that are selected or added to a group in BRANCH, TREE, or MODEL mode.

The branch flag is used to determine whether we are referring to the ICETree as a node or as a branch.

Constant Value Description
siNode 0 Node
siBranch 1 Branch
siUnspecified 3 Unspecified
siNotSelected 4 Not selected
$ifndef "Softimage"
set "Softimage" "true"
$endif

Yea, me too. But SI 2012 SP1 crashes when I'm trying to make it happen :ymparty:

Code: Select all

Application.ApplyOp("ICETree", "Group", "siBranch")
P.S. Hey, I have a ton of bug reports and crash scenarios... can I apply beta? lol

ICE trees in Branch mode is not supported.
You used to have to set the env var XSI_UNSUPPORTED_ICE_BRANCH to turn it on, but even then word is it's pretty flakey.

Thanks, Steve! I'll take that risk :)
