Softimage on an iMac

Hey guys! Anyone has any experience using Softimage on an iMac running windows with a AMD Radeon HD 6770M? Im afraid about the Radeon since I only used nVidia till now.

Haven't used ATI's for ages because of the typical issues. That is until few weeks ago and I promptly ran into issues again. 2 out of 3 boards didn't work well with XSI (with one of them tagging one or few points would select everything on that mesh and the other other board crashed XSI). Can't remember which ones they were. Radeon HD somethingsomething. I'm currently on the third Radeon and it seems to be the best of the pack, but I do notice some selection (tagging) related delays from time to time - however it doesn't bother me since I'm currently working with lowres models.

That's at a clients place - and the experience is telling me to stay on the Nvidia wagon.

Softimage and ATI cards have a very cumbersome relationship. Just google and you get tons of posts on this.
For some reason ATI drivers are never really up to specs, and result in lots of little glitches.

For most apps you (like it or not) may be better off running a NVIDIA card.
