regisrty cleaner and xsi on win 7

I've just done a fresh install of win 7 64, and now when using cleanmypc registry cleaner it knocks out xsi with a can't init cross thread handler its never happened on vista or xp, of course a fresh install corrects the problem. Is it win 7 or xsi?.

Registry cleaners always interfere with Softimage installs (and they aren't that useful anyway).

Instead of reinstalling, you can just open a Softimage command prompt and run runonce.bat.

It probably cause a host of other problems that arent as obvious. Never run registry cleaners, they are all snake oil. Why run one after a fresh install of windows... isnt it clean?

there has always been arguements on registry cleaners but on the whole they have never caused me too much trouble in the past and not with xsi until now. thanks for the advice of "runonce".
