Severe Blue screen and pc halt using Softimage

Hello, i've been getting a big issue lately, after i use Softimage for a bit my pc halts, freeze and Blue screen.

my pc configuration:

Intel I7 990Xtreme, 24 gb ram, nVidia GT570 HD, OCZ SSD hard disk.
Windows 7 64bit, Softimage 2012 SP1.

I couldnt understand what is the problem, usually it happens after i was rendering, then i stopped the render and when i relaunched it, it froze the pc.

Last time, it happened was just few minutes ago, i had a preview render running with a really simple scene, actually a shaderball, i dragged a preset into the model in the scene so the render should have refresh since i changed the material, in this moment it froze and blue screen.

I'm starting to think it is something related to SSD hard disk..
anyone can help?

I had this once, the 0x....f4 error
afaik usual things you can do when it shows up:
-remove cmos battery for a while and reinsert
-check/replace sata cables, clean dust off them

in my case there was some system file error showed with chkdsk tool, had to reinstall windows with system partition reformat as chkdsk /r wasn't helping.
If you have system restore turned on, try getting back to older version of windows.

I had that a while back. Turned out to be a bad block on the system drive that was effecting the windows swap file. Since it's an SSD I'm not sure how they may behave differently but it's probably similar. A temporary fix is to move the swap file to another drive if you have one. That drive will likely continue to give you trouble though. Check the event log to see if you have any bad blocks showing up.

Check the System Log in Event Viewer. There may be additional information that might help determine the device or driver that is causing the problem. Many Stop messages produce specific events that you can search for, such as Event ID 1001 (generated by various Stop messages) and Event ID 6008 (usually caused by an unexpected shutdown or a computer that does not restart correctly).

i'm tryin to dig into windows event viewer and i found something but no idea what it is:

i'm gonna see if its an hardware problem..or format and see what happens.

I think the error you mention in the previous post has something to do with this Python bug, but that shouldn't necessarily be the reason for your crashes, as it's "only" related to Windows installers made with Python...

My guess is imminent hard disk failure.. STOP 0xF4 seems to indicates the kernel failed to page out to disk
