Softimage 2012 sp1 licensing

Hey guys

i've formatted a new hd ssd, now i'm installing softimage 2012 sp1, i've used the serial number and the product key from the dvd box, and everything just went fine.
when i start softimage it said "verifying license" and after few seconds this message disappeared and softimage started.

I cant remember if this is the correct procedure to register it, do i have to do something else?
i already have the sub account, i remember something wich is to open softimage go to help -> customer support
in that page open -> Register Softimage > after i log with the sub ID and pwd, it asks me for a request code wich i have no idea where to find it.

Do i have to register softimage, or it already did at start when it was saying "Verifying license"?

Did you save a copy of your licence file? If you just upgraded your hdd the old one should still work (I think!) so make sure you copy that .lic file over to your new hdd and get the server started using the licence manager (just realised this is network version, not sure about standalone...)

Nope i didnt have a lic file, i've bought softimage for myself recently and it is first clean fresh install on new machine.

Is it a "standalone" or a "network" license setup?

Yeah it is standalone, and as i said it installed fine with the serial provided by the box case, my curiosity was just about the customer support-> register softimage
I wanted to register it but i guess that is for network owners?
Because i dont have what it asks me

Standalone licenses are usually activated at startup, and you don't have to do much except provide the product key and serial number.

If Softimage is running, then your Standalone license is almost certainly activated properly.

The autodesk.com/register web page is mostly for Network licenses. In rare occasions you might have to activate a standalone that way, but that is only if something went wrong with the activation at startup.

The startup activation generates a "request code" under the covers and sends it to autodesk.com to get your standalone authorisation code.
