Well, as you obviously have "friends in high places" (i.e Autodesk) maybe you could convince them to release the ICE training series by Craig Slagel into your capable hands. At the moment these are being published to the Area itself (which is a good thing!), but as I read on the XSI Mailing List there were 40 made, waiting for them to release them one by one seems to take forever... ;;)

I've been chatting with Jennifer from AD/Softimage on this, and the final word on this still has to be decided.
It's all a bit of a legal thing, and as we all know legal stuff can take some time ;)

Thats true Rob ... and we dont particularly I think have friends in high places, not like that, we are just seeing if we can make things happen, but I'll say it openly, because its true, autodesk have been great with what they have done. Just as Joe has too.

I was thinking more along the lines of

There are no predefined answers, just a suggest that people might think of old or lost(??) material, that would I presume relatively easy to ask permissions for. And be rather quick to implement. Given the legal state of play of some items.

I'd vote for as much TD training as possible, in as many various areas of interest that can be addressed... the more people know how to get the best of XSI from the technical pipeline perspective... the more central XSI becomes for the industry. I would specifically like to see more relevant training for game dev pipelines... things like automation for Level-of-Detail model/texture pipeline, animation, realtime shaders, etc.

Jennifer was thinking out loud on the mailing list on how to distribute Adam Sales training. She mentioned it weights in quiet heavy with around 40GB.

Maybe you two could help out each other in some way.

I know that you already "answered" this in more than 1 thread but I have to say it again

the best for the next tuts would be to get the Adam Sales training and host it all at once there should be 40 ? vids?

Always waiting 2 weeks or more for 1 more vid on the Area just to find the next intro into compounds vid suxs.
Dont get me wrong thanks to them that they are hosting it and also that they did the vids in the first place but cmon 1 vid every 2 weeks when there should be 40 of them is just boring.

Get them... host all of them ... and alot users will be happy.

@Firebird - I might be wrong, but the "stuff" by Adam Sale is something different from the serialized videos on the Area by Craig Slagel (the difference between, to quote Jennifer Goldfinch from the "XSI Mailing List", "As for Adam Sale's material, we are trying to figure out where to put it - at 40 GBs, it takes a LOT of bandwidth!" and "Craig did a great job, and delivered 4.5 hours of ICE specific training. (...) I think there are 40 [short videos] in total." )

I would vote for Redi-Vivus to host both in their entirety... ;)

We aint got no problem with that, if it can get sorted asap. And they wont be onlines, probably just straight downloads, onlines take too much time to develop, fix, re-configure, inject, outject, transcode, test, install, and then you still browser compatibility problems.

And I will ask again in a few days, after I fix up someone elses php code. Why cant people write bug free code, is it really that hard
